Cannot find out how you replace that little bulb....does anyone know.
GM did not see fit to permit us to simply unscrew the amber plastic
front and replace the bulb...that would make too much sense.
Anyone know?

You should have a little "trap door" that you can snake your hand through on each side under the lamp. Just reach up there and un-twist to get to the light bulb. You may have to use a 10mm socket to loosen the bolt that holds the trap door shut. But be careful it could snap off.
