That way, you can get all the benefits of HID with a proper projector housing without changing the style of the front end much at all.

Agreed. You hid yours nicely in the fogs.

Alright so I'm going with the slim ballast ones from DDM Tuning.com

Which "K" should I get? and which wattage? 35 or 55?

K is for Kelvin, and represents the color of the light output. A regular halogen headlight bulb will be somewhere about 3300K-3500K, "Silverstar Ultra" headlight bulbs claim to be 4100K, which is a whiter light (more blue than yellow). A car with high intensity discharge lamps from the factory will have a color temperature of 4300K (still a slight yellow hue), which is peak light output. 5000K is a cool white with no obvious hue. 6000K is a blue-white, which has an obvious blue hue, but is still mostly white (think overcast skies). 8000K has a strong blue hue, and everything above this is useless for light output. Remember that the farther away from 4300K you get, the less effective the lights will be.

Please get the 35W kit. If you are already doing it the wrong way that will likely be a major headache for oncoming drivers, at least try to minimize this by staying away from the super high-output 55W kits. A 35W HID kit is plenty of an upgrade already.

Wow thanks for the detailed response!

            I think I'm going with the 6000K 35W.

I'm also ordering another set for my buddy who has a 95' T top

EDIT: Do I need any of the adaptor cables that can be added to the order form on DDM tuning.com??

I'll be sure to post some pics when I'm done!

Based on the pictures on the site, you will not need any additional cables.
