I know this is def. the wrong board to bring up this car, but it's the only place I'm a member of, so maybe you guys can help here.
I'm getting ready to sell/trade my 2000 Mazda B2500 and am trying to fix up a few things here and there. One main concern I have for a potential buyer is the fact that (I'm assuming) only one light is illuminating the gauge cluster when the lights are turned on (right at the top of the speedo lighting up about 35-80 mph, the important part lol). All the other indicator lights, blinkers, check engine, etc. work properly, it's just the back lighting that's out.
Now, I would assume maybe it's just the bulbs, and I haven't pulled the cluster out to check yet, but here's something that happened to me last year that kinda throws me for a loop: driving a little fast over some train tracks, the jolt somehow makes the entire cluster light up, like all the back-lights work, but not even a 1/4 mile down the road I hit a pothole and all the lights but the one go out again. This hasn't happened since then even though I've tried to duplicate the situation many times.
Sound like it's just the lights out? I'm planning on pulling it out this weekend and actually looking into it for once.
Thanks, and again, sorry for the wrong car board....atleast it's not a toyota or honda, Ford is atleast Detroit still..lol
