I just ended up straight wiring the fans. I eneded up wiring them through the ignition fuse with this piece that used two fuses in one slot. It's the 10 amp fuse slot so when I put another 10 on top of it, but it wasn't strong enough to power the fan. When I put the 15 on top of the 10 the fan comes on.... im just curious as to if thats an eletrical hazard or not. I can say that when i got home today and turned the car off right after i took the key out the speedometer jumped to about 15mph really fast... is this a major problem? here are pictures of the set up... or should I find a 15 amp fuse slot to do this with?

this is the pic of the 15 amp over the 10 amp ignition fuse

The bigger concern is - what do you mean you "straight wired" the fans?

The piece you saw in the photo takes the positive wire that's what the top fuse does it powers the fan. The guy at the auto store said its the safest way to wire the fans to the fuse. The other wire is gvroujnded to the battey, my concern is since the inital fuse is running a 10 amp for the ignition is it safe for me to hav the 15 amp in the above fuse slot powering the fns

Yeah, doesn't sound safe to me. I'm no electic pro or anything but my assumption was that fuses are there to blow so the wires connected to them won't burn up. And the fuse size should correspond with the wire gauge being used.

Until I see your wiring diagram, from what you have described I DO NOT agree with this "bastard" wiring. And no, I don't think anything you have done is safe!

It would appear that you do not understand our fan wiring, nor operation. I sincerely hope you don't damage other electrical components like the PCM, or at worst your car doesn't catch fire.

The auto store guy is an idiot - but that's nothing new.
