I just got a `01 firebird and the back light on the instrument cluster is not working... the odometer and other lights are all working but not the back light. When I first noticed the problem, I found that if I wiggled the wiring harness behind the radio, the light would come on, but that isn't happening anymore. This leads me to think that a bad ground is the cause of the problem, but I cant figure out what wires to inspect. any help? anyone had this problem?

Re: instrument cluster back light problems
Have not had that problem, but you need to check the schematic, which can be found in the back of the Haynes Manual. Maybe the wire is loose at the cluster's plug. If that is not the problem, then the schematic will help you figure out where to run a new wire. It shouldn't be too hard to fix.2002 Silver Firebird A4
T-Tops, Leather, Y87, W68, Chrome Wheels
Bone Stock
