Security Light Issue w/ No Original Key on New (Used) Firebird
I feel that the lock cylinder being a different one has more to do with it, but I feel that you will be running into underlying issues for a while to come..
Re: Security Light Issue w/ No Original Key on New (Used) Firebird
I also have a constant security light with no problems.. Even after disconnecting the battery it's still there. I've got no clue about electrical issues like this..
Re: Security Light Issue w/ No Original Key on New (Used) Firebird
Imma thinking it went into Fault Mode while driving, & for some unknown reason the Keyswitch was replaced. Why it still starts & runs I have no clue, but Imma see about getting the template key matched to a normal key with the resistor & see if the security light goes away then.
Should I go to a stealership & get a new key cut with the proper resistor or call a stealership and find out what my resistor is and do a blank key from ebay for 5$ & have my local hardwire cut it matching the template key??
