Long story short 98 maro v6 manual
And yes I have researched this issue extensively on this forum
And any other camaro forums I've found
Driving to work other day and suddenly lost
Power and exhaust sounded clogged and cel was flashing
Still running but weak and fuel Milage dropped tremendously
Got home from work and ran some tests
Found the 3-6 coil pack produced no spark
Switched another coil pack and was able to get spark
Bought new coil pack and it ran fine for a little over a day
Failed again replaced under warranty but new one produced no spark
Either.
I replaced all plugs (gapped correctly) and wires w delcos
I also rerouted all wires to ensure none were touching tr exhaust manifold
Still no spark from 3-6 coil pack
Using a multimeter I found that I was getting 13 volts from the 3-6 post
On the ICM I switched around all the coil packs and they worked fine
On the other positions on the ICM but none worked on the 3-6 position
I have run the tests I've found online for the cpk but since I can run on
4cyl it doesn't appear to be a sensor issue
I'm simply asking for any input that any of u may have as to another reason for this or any other tests i cam run other than a bad ICM before I plunk down $300 on a delco ICM
I do have acces to an obdII scanner but not until next weekend and I'd really like to get this car running b4 work tomorrow as the gas Milage is horrendous and I don't wanna have to fill up 3 times in 1 week just to get to work and back
Thanks in advance
