rear hatch = louder?

i know my stock delco sub isn't quite the best out there, but it sounds really loud with the hatch down. this is because the way the sub is facing, it hits the rear hatch glass and uses it as a sort of soundboard? if so, would it be cheaper to just buy maybe one 10" or 12" sub and put it in the same spot as the stock one, or have two/three subs elsewhere in the car and have the same results? thanks for any help you can give me, i am new to these boards and the people here are great at answering my questions.

90 15"s? wow :eek: I must have missed that thread. Do you want to give up the space where the T-Tops are stored or not? If you don't, I'd suggest getting one of those boxes that fits into the empty hole located on the drivers side. SubThump.com sells them in either an 8", 10" or even a new 12" version I think. Something like that will sound so much better than the stock subs. I wouldn't even mess with putting a sub exactly where the factory one is located. That panel wayy back there is very flimsy and would vibrate like crazy.

i think firefighter needs to lighten up a bit. no offense dude, but if anyone really took that seriously thats sad. i mean look at it. i'm quite possibly the most sarcastic person alive and i even added a disclaimer because people keep telling me "thats not real!!!!111" *sigh* well im off to go cry myself to sleep because im a loser.
