  • Questions about Eclipse HU

    Hi All,

My mother just got a pimped-out '02 Denali, and I'm trying to set the clock on the HU.

It's a few years old, model CD-3421. Tapping "function" once and then trying to adjust it does nothing [apparently this is how it's done on the new ones].

System is interesting overall, though-- 4 Boston Acoustics coaxials, one Boston 12" in a custom box built into the rear corner, a bridged Clarion 2-ch for the sub, and a 4-ch clarion for the doors, with a half-farad cap and some professional looking wiring. Sub box leaks a tiny bit of air, but overall it sounds pretty good, albeit a little "in your face".

Oh yeah, one more question- the "fuse" off the + battery wire looks more like a circuit breaker with a reset button. Unusual? Couldn't figure out how to disable it, like if I was going to attach a battery cable. Thanks folks!

No, it's not unusual. You can either use a "fuse with a fuse holder" or a "circuit breaker" like you have. Though I've never actually used a circuit breaker, I've read a few times that they lose their accuracy once they've been tripped a few times. Personally, I would replace it with a good old fashion fuse. This way you can just pull the fuse if you need to work on your system.
