  • Final details on system...

Hi guys! I finally have all the parts (minus the stealth box and amp rack) for my system and would like some opinions on it...basically if it looks like everything should go well:

    1996 Camaro w/o Bose system:

    Alpine 9807 HU
Alpine Type-R SPR-176a component set up front
    Alpine 10" Type-R SWR-1041D sub
Kicker RMB6 midbass in back seat
    JBL 80.4
    JBL 300.1

I do have one question: For the rear seat kickers, will they require X-overs?

I was able to get all these parts online for well below what I was willing to spend. I don't need competition quality, just something that will sound decent. I'll be having it installed at my friend's audio shop.

Any advice/comments are appreciated. Thank you!

Since you have a set of components (with crossovers) up front, I'd recommend using crossovers for the mids as well. Would sound better than full-range. JMO ;)

cant you jsut use the crossover on the 4 channel amp??

they sound alot better crosssed over.. I have a set of kickers also.. and will allow you to push more power to them..

only problem is you idealy want a bandpass crossover.. something that puts a cap on both the high and low pass for those speakers.. but thats a little tricky.. you can probably rig up an inline/active one if you look up the compenents..

nice stetup BTW.. i like the hardware.. only thing i would change is the amps.. but.. thats just a prefrence thing.. good luck..

Thanks for the input so far guys.

Thats what I was thinking. I'm not an expert on audio so I'm kinda fuzzy on the area of crossovers.

I'm looking at crutchfield online at their crossovers...can I use the in-lines together (a high pass and low pass)?

If anyone wants to recommend cut-offs, go for it. I'm lost with that part.

EDIT: Derrr...just looked at the manual. It does have two x-over settings. Flat-HP-LP.
32hz-320Hz. I wonder if I should still get cross-overs though...
