Elemental designs 8" a series

Has anyone heard or used the Elemental designs 8" a series sub. i looks like a really good deal for a clear small sub. i guess my Q is does it sound extremely clear and how well does it hit the lower freaquencies.

Clarity in subbass is extremely hard to distinguish. Basically, since it's such a low freq, perceived clarity is more from absence of distortion. With that said, the a-series sub is extremely clean. However, being an 8" subwoofer, do not expect a lot of performance from 32hz down. You really "feel" freqs this low more than you hear them, so your music will still sound great, but will not have the impact that a 12 or even a 10" subwoofer would have. If you listen to dance music, hiphop, or rock (needs a nice kick drum), you'll want a larger size sub. If not, you cannot beat the e8a at what it does; provide clean clear bass that is not very low. I say go for it; it's affordable so you can spend your money where it REALLY counts...your front speakers/hu. The e8A should only get about .25cu ft of air space though in a sealed box. That could be a pro or con depending on which way you look at it.

i have 2-e8a's and i put one of them in my cousins camaro.
the box was a spl box and had 600w to it.

it hit hard and got loud but it is only an 8, but for an 8 it's awesome.

if your looking for clean nice sounding bass that WILL get alittle loud then go for it.

thanks for the info i think i will order one. and just to let you know that the bass is not where i am spending the most here is the rest of my shopping list, xtant 603x, eclipse cd8443, set of kappa perfect 6.5 componentst and 5.25 kappa componenents. planning on running the mids and highs in sterio off the 603 and just say fcukk the fade option i never mess with that anyway. then i plan on running the sub off the 3rd channel on that amp. that is pretty much the best i can afford.

I wouldn't waste my money on the infinity component's...you can get much nicer component for the price IMHO.

btw: how much are you payin for them??
