• Remote starter/Keyless entry

I have an aftermarket one, and one day it stopped working on me.

Any suggestions on what I can try? First thing I did was replace the batter in the fob, so that's already out of the picture, but anything else?

Did You have it installed, or was it installed by the previous owner? because if you know where it was installed, usually the store will be able to tell you whats wrong. also, almost all remote start systems have a "valet switch" which disables the remote. usually it is installed under the dash, it may have beem flipped accadentally or may need to be reset, by flipping it back and forth. also, with some older alarms if the battery dies or is replaced, the remote may have lost the stored code, and has to be reprogrammed. i would check the instalation manual (if you have one) or get ahold of the manufacturer and they should be able to ship you one. bottom line- unless its actually the valet switch you are going to have to go to a local shop to have it fixed. and if you have no warrentee of any sort, it may justbe worth your while to get a new one installed instead of fixing this one.
I\'m so used to doing so much with so little, I can do anything with everything!

It was installed when I bought the car, the old owner lives on the other side of the state, and he didn't give me any manuals with the car, not even the owner's manual. Looks like I'm out of luck. :(

I have never seen a switch under the dash, and I'm pretty sure the only switches in the car that aren't stock are the ones I put in.

I don't even know who makes it. I took the box that (I believe) is the actual unit itself, and it has no name on it. All I have is a patent number on the fob. When I go back home for MLK weekend, I'll take it somewhere and see what they can do with it. Thanks for all your help.

This is what happened to me. I don't even think the battery was dead. Just stopped working one day. After trying a bunch of things, I decided to try re-programming the fob. Worked ever since.
Also, hop online and look for the owner manual. Most sites have them on there.

Ditto on that, my alarm had the same problem. All you have to do is get the manual and find out how to reprogram the remote, and it should work once thats done.

I'm not sure what brand it is, but it's a combination remote starter & keyless entry.

There used to be a sticker on my window that said Python security, but I can't find a good site to look at their older kits (2002).

http://www.drdetailshop.com/

i think on the site it tells you how too look for the right code, e-mail them with the code thing on ur remote.
i ended up having a different remote than what came with my alarm so i went through hell finding the right one but i did.
