  • Anyone install a Keyless entry before?

I was wondering if anyone can help me find where all i should connect to wires for my keyless I just got, it has 10 wires all together and the instructions don't help that much, I just need to know where exactly on my car I can find the wires. anyone? I tried that camaro alarm install site, but didn't help me much.

ok, I have 10 wires, they are...White( Polarity Input, says to connect to ground and it has a fuse)
      Red(constant 12v (+))
      Brown(trunk release polarity)
      Black(chasis ground)
      Orange(trunk lid realse button)
Gray, Blue(only for 5 wire polarity, so i don't need)
      Green(unlock)
      Purple(ignintion 12v +)
      Yellow(lock)

Really, all i need to know is where would the best place be to find all the wires? I have a wire diagram in my mantience book that will show me which wire color is what, I just need to know where I can find them all real close together. No alarm either, just keyless. Also, since my car is the 3 negative polarity, it says to connect the white wire with the fuse to (-) ground, so do I connect it to the chasis or what? Thanks

hmm ok dunno if 97 is the same...but if you wanna do it easily with lots of wire, just run the wires to each individual thing....and theres no fuse on the poitive?? thats odd...Id put a fuse on that, I dunno why they'd put it on the ground...maybee the same thing...I dunno much about that,...hmm under your hood are all the relays and stuff, theres also lots under the dash...like say the trunk release, wire it up to that button or something..I dont think you could do the locks the same way, that would have to be under the hood somewhere....I think I have one of those same books your talking about, if you look in the back it has your entire electrical system..its hard to read, and it'll take you time, but thats about the only way your gonna get it... ;)
