Are you gonna run the amp at 1ohm??? Fosgate doesn't recommend that but im sure they should be fine as long as it doesnt go into protect mode...3000 watts to two power hx2's  thatll pound...

Well fosgate doesn't reccomend runnin thier bd series amps at 1 ohm but I have read that they run in one ohm...If I were you stick with the one 1501bd and upgrade if needed (750 watts to each will hit hard) with one amp you need to wire each sub into a 4 onh load (series) then from there wire them parallel into the mono amp yielding a two ohm load...run that for a while and see how you like it...if needed then upgrade...heres a wiring diagram for you

                  http://paudio.tripod.com/subwooferwiring.html

yours is Combination of Series & Parallel
If using Dual 2 ohm coils the total load would be 2.0 ohm.

                  Hope that helps
                  Matt
