I have a problem. I just got my new radio installed. Pioneer 9400mp. It works cool and everything. but, how do I get it to read MP3's. I burnt a CD with MP3's and it won't read it. It give me an "Error 30" message. It says on the box that it will, but with the proper ID3 tag. What does that mean I have to do??? Please help. One of the main reasons why I bought this is to play MP3's. Thanks in advance

well there are several reasons why it might not be playing them: first make sure that the "session is closed" in your mp3 burning software b4 you use the disc, otherwise the TOC wont be put on the disc and almost all mp3 players need that or they cant play. also some players cant play the mp3s if they are in folders, or if the bit rate is too high (kbps). also you might want to try a different brand of cds, because some cheaper brands wont work in all players. if none of this works, id call the manufactuer and they should be able to tell you just what the error means.
I\'m so used to doing so much with so little, I can do anything with everything!

I'm pretty sure E30 just means "Cannot read disk".

I think it probably the disks that you are using...have you tried another brand? How many different mp3 cds have you tried? I dont think its the closed session problem because the mp9400 is supposed to read open session disks...

thanks guys. But, I have used the CD's before in my sony walkman. It reads MP3's also. I have also made normal CD's with the same CD's. and it works fine. It just won't read the CD with mp3's on it. I wrote a email to pioneer. They said that maybe I should turn off the copy protect. I didn't do this for my sony though. Thanks for the replys.

Well, I finally got it to work. I don't have a spcial burning software. All I have is Windows Media Player and Real Player. It won't play CD's burned by Windows media player. Real Player works though. Thanks for the replys though.
