after i disconnect the terminal from the battery, how do i get the wires out that go into the red rubber cover thing that i just took off from the battery? i need to replace the alternator wire that goes into there, and can't get it out.

There is a good adapter from knuconceptz that makes that process easy here is the link...

knukonceptz's adapter is the best way. You cant get the wires out. They are crimped in. Yes, you could tear the rubber part off and then try to pry the little tabs up, but I don't see you fitting any larger wire under there anyway. Pay the few bucks for the adapter. Looks much cleaner.
