Hey guys, I just got one of these for a present. I havent had it installed yet, but I'm just wondering if any of you have experience with it. It's an 8" subwoofer with a 50w internal amp. I don't expect it's going to be incredible, but from what I hear it's pretty decent for our cars when you put it in one of those cubby holes in the back hatch. It was on sale at Circuit City for a pretty decent price. Is that pretty good for the money or is there anythything better I should look at for a reasonable price?
I hear it's adds more horsepower than a 200 shot of the real thing! All seriousness though, is this thing decent or should I take it back and get something a little better, I could really use some suggestions.
Depends on how much money you have to spend. If your on a budget then you could keep it. It will add a little thump to your music but nothing amazing. If you want to upgrade to something a little better then I would suggest going with a stealthbox (mtx, jl, or subthump) with a decent 10" sub and a good 300-600w amp to power it.

I think you guys are right. I just took a trip down to circuit city. The sub just kind of vibrates, and also picks up the music along with the bass. It's alright, but I think it might make more sense to get something like a stealth box that you guys were saying. I found this on crutchfield, MTX T-Formbut it's really expensive. I don't have alot of room in my car so a setup with a built in amp would definitely be preferable. I like the idea of this because it has a built in amp and it fits into that space in the hatch. Only problem is the price, is there any place I could get it cheaper?
Look at my link above (its the same one thats on crutchfield ;) )

Oh okay, thats what I thought...duh
I also came across these two here from the same seller, they're brand new instead of refurbished (like your link Freeser)...come with everything but the amp, which I can get...I've got a Rockford Fosgate 250.2 from my old car, should work fine. Which one of these would you guys say is better in terms of sub, there's two different kinds.
1)Stealthbox w/ MTX Thunder 6000
You can get the mtx boxes for cheap on ebay. I saw some new ones loaded with an MTX Thunder6000 for $170. The link that Freeser posted is a also very good deal. So is this one. That sub is killer and if you can find good amp, like a JBL BP600.1, or even the 300.1, it will sound bad-*** . I would definitely go that route instead of buying the amplified version.I had MTX Thunderform with the Thunder6000 sub powered by a 500w RF amp and I was amazed at how much bass came from that little box.
I think as of right now the link that Akuma gave...The infinity perfect line are great SQ starter subs...you would be very pleased with it...I myself wouldnt go with the powered stealth either I just thought you had NO room...if you bridge that fosgate amp it would be a great match for a 10.1...

Thanks alot for all your help guys, I really appreciate it. This confusing situation is making more sense every time I come back. So you say the best choice would be the infinity sub? Only thing that worries me is that he says he can't test the speakers, which is kind of a bad thing...I have no way of knowing if it works or not.
The way I see it is your payin 80 bux or whatever the auction amount is for the box only (thats a great price) if the sub works thats just icing on the cake. If it doesnt you can get a thunder 6000 for under 60 bux or even a Infinity perfect for 100 bux both on ebay...I guess what im tryin to say is even if the sub doesnt work youll be gettin a excellent deal on a box + you'll have alot of options on subwoofers.
P.S. If you were to need a 10" sub i'd go with the ELemental Designs e10kx.44 these are real nice sounding sub and only cost 75 bux. ;)

Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
