Anybody sucessfully installed cruise control on their cars using stocks parts? I guess I'll need the cruise control module and lever. Would it matter what kind of F-body the module came out of?
I drive over 200 miles to and from school and my foot gets kind of tired :(

I figure I'll need the module and lever with cruise controls, but how exactly does the the lever get connected to the module. I mean, is the wiring already there?
Is that the stock location for the module? The thread I got that from was about how this guys module was in the way of him installing the 93-97 SLP cai. Can anybody tell me the stock location of the cc module on their car?
I also read about how manual cars have a switch thats depressed when the clutch pedal is out so that when you press it in cc is disengaged. I hadn't thought about that before. You would definelty need that or it would go WOT when you pressed the clutch in.
I talked to a LT1 owner about the placement of the module and he told me the pic is correct. How come no V6 guy has ever complained about it being in the way when installing there SLP cai
He also showed me a pic of the only connector; 10 pins. Whenever I get a chance I'm going to check for an existing connector that's just hanging around.
Could someone please tell me where their module is on their V6?!?
Ever get the feeling you're talking to yourself? Guess once I figure out whether this can or can't be done people will be able to pull this up for future reference.
The same LT1 owner told me the SLP cai fits in the with the module down there with no problems.
I checked by my turn signal lever and found an existing plugin that I'm assuming is for a lever with cruise controls. I checked my clutch and found what I believe is called the clutch anticipation switch. This is what's supposed to disengage the cc when you start to push in the clutch.
Right now I'm too lazy to pull out my SLP cai and see if that 10 pin connector is down there.
I'm going to go ahead and get all the parts and try to install it.
The turn signal lever is in the mail, and I'm in the process of buying James's cc module that he just pulled out. Once I get everything I'll try the install and let everyone know how it went.

Thanks
The turn signal lever came in today. It fit without a problem (not like I expected any), and it's wires clipped into the existing harness. Just waiting on James's module.
Could anybody provide me with a few pics of how their cruise control cable is routed?
I've been wanting to do this for a while and couldn't find anyone who had done it. I stopped by the Chevy dealer here asking about it today and the service manager told me where they send cars to have it installed aftermarket, but they were closed. I would rather have the factory system if it's possible though.
Is the cruise controlled by the PCM on the 96 Camaros, or is it a different system than the one in the 02s?

I've never seen a close up pic of the 99+ throttle body. Is there anyplace to hook up a throttle cable? If not, then they're different than the 95-97 cruise control.
It was above 50 degrees today so I decided try the install.
I could not find a plug to connect to the cc module anywhere :( I not sure whether its that I didn't look hard enough, or that it just isn't there. Not sure what I'm going to do now...
