Hey guys... I installed an aftermarket stereo in my bird (sony mdx-610) and 4 out of my 6 speakers work with it. It isnt really a big issue for me, because I installed a sub, but if it is something little i'll fix it. My front, and rear speakers work fine, however the panel speakers located next to the rear seats dont work with the aftermarket deck, but worked fine with the factory deck. These are just little 6.5" subs, and when I get some money I will probably put the JL 6.5" subs in there and run my amop to them too, in Leau of what I am trying to do now - that's what I get $$!! - Has anyone had a similar problem?

Little more info, did you bypass the amps, did you use a wireing harness adapter or did you cut and splice the factory plug. you could always run seperate wires to the speakers.98 3.8 A4<br />yep it\'s a 6 -
I was trying to avoid running seperate wires. I bought a wiring harness which plugged into the factory harness, and then spliced those wires into the wires for the aftermarket deck. Piece of cake. I have installed many decks before, so I was pretty comfortable doing this. I don't know if there was an extra wire going into the factory harness which controlled the panel speakers, but I tried testing them all out, and I couldn't find one. Could it be that the aftermarket deck is only made to work with 4 speakers instead of 6. As far as the amps go, I dont think my car had any of those. I dont think it was the monsoon system. The factory deck was a cassette deck, and said only Delco on it. I was told it was a Bose system, but I can't find the Bose symobol on anything. With the Bose setup, each speaker has an little individual amp for it. If I were you, I wouldn't worry about it, as long as the fronts and the sail panels work it's all good.
