PLEASE help with system

i have an audiobahn 8000t(800watts rms at 2 ohms) and a 10 solobaric L7. i dont know what is wrong with the l7 but it is popping out high frequency noises and it doesnt sound good. it is 600 watts rms at 2 ohms. i was wondering if an 10 audiobahn 900 watt rms sub would be good. or go with 2 of something as in 2 fosgate stage 3 or any suggestions. PLEASE HELP NOONE EVER GIVES ME SUGGESTIONS

just get one 12 a aw1200q from audiobahn they rms at 700 which i think is a little underrated and i have had no problems with this sub but it likes its airspace though lol [img]graemlins/rock.gif[/img]

1000 watt amp picked up at my local audio shop nothin to flashy but it pounds the sub have it in the back well with 3.36 cu.ft of air space thats what it calls for :D

High frequency noises as in symbols and voices? If that's the case make sure your crossover is set to LowPass to cut the highs out of the sub.

If that's not it your sub could be blown. Sometimes speakers will make a buzzing noise or an annoying high pitched rattle if they are blown.

i would ALWAYS recommend 2 subs over 1. I always taught that people that only run one of anything are kind of weird.

well 2 sub's wouldnt fit in the back well with the air space they need so i went with one because i wanted them to have enough air space

it is high frequency popping noises and it only happens occasionally when it is turned up i dunno what it is someone said it was called clipping??????ne idea??

definitely get the gain on the amp checked. if your signal is getting clipped, you can damage your sub if you haven't already.

noise/clipped signals, even at low power levels, can cause damage to a sub.

how can 2 subs not have enough air space in your car?...

My installer is going to put in (4) 12'' Orion subs in a ported box in my blk 'maro so how can you not have the space for 2 subs?

because each sub needs about 3.36 cu feet of air space and that fills my well plus mine can be removed if i want it to be for the track very easily can yours ? im not all into stereo i want to race also
