Right now she has a jbl 600.1 with 2 12'' infinity references and they suck, they are in a sealed box and just don't hit hard enough, so i am thinking about a single audiobahn aw1200 12'' sub. that sub is 700 rms and they jbl puts out 600 rms, this box will be sealed. any other suggestions?

if you dont want to spend a whole lot, check out Alpine typeR's, RF Hx2s, or infinity kappas, reference line isnt paticularly the best, all of those subs would offer better SQ than the 'bahn, and still have decent SPL

I was looking at the he2's not enough power for the hx2's, I hate infinity and alpine so they are out and I am not looking for sq at all just spl. thanks but anymore comments?

when you say they dont "hit hard enough", do you mean like you just cant hear them that well? well if thats the case, just get a new box. sealed has the best bass quality but the poorest effiency and lowest volume compared to ported and bandpass boxes.

Just SPL huh? How much you looking to spend? Is Digital Designs out of your price range? If so, Kicker L7. Get a pair of em' in a big *** ported high-tuned box and you'll have more SPL then you know what to do with...... it'll sound like poo... but you just want SPL.

10L7s, Hx2s, or a set of alum12 audiobahns seem like theyre in your pricerange and will hit decently

why are you going for jus spl, are you going to go for competition or jus for somming fun. If its not competition dont go for jus spl go for an in between of spl and sound quality. I got a pair of american bass 12s and an american bass amp pushing jus 250 rms through em. They hit hard and have great quality.

go ported, a RCA-inline subsonic filter is like 5.75$ from RadioHack, go with a single alum12, Hx2 or Alpine typeR!

yall ever tried memphis subs? i've had alot of people tell me good things about them and i've heard a pair of them hitting close up(in the back seat with them) and they were nice spl wise. another brand that i've heard is great but not gotten a chance to hear was MTX.... it's all up to you but those were just a couple ideas
