alright, so i bought some alpine type s's. and put them in the sails. they sound pretty good. nice and bright, not much bass to them, but thats fine since i have subs. alright, my problem. when installing them, the stock speakers have like a "clip" of some sort. i was really lazy, and i just hooked the speaker wire that came with the speakers onto the speakers. and then stripped the other ends and stuffed them into the "clip" type thing. i didn't want to cut it off since it was 1am.

now. my back left sounds fine, and has no crackling, but my back right is crackling, like its already blown? what can be the problem. these are 200W peak speakers with 50rms. i don't have an amp going to them, so how could they be blown? could it just be that they need to be spliced into each other? if so, thats not a problem, i just didn't want to do that with no light at 1am. its only crackling at somewhat high volumes. and its not bad crackling. PLEASE SAY THE SPEAKER ISN'T BLOWN!

    THANKS!

they would still play like that? if i switch it back around, will it play fine? or did i **** myself?

i couldn't find anywhere what color was which, but i just guessed that the light color was positive and the darker one was negative.

      thanks.
