  • Direct Connect ipod to deck

I just bought my ipod mini and I want to hook it up to my car. I know they sell iTrip and other products like it, but all my friends whoever bought them had bad experiences with static. I talked to some other people and they mentioned to us an Inline FM Modulator which connects directly to the antenna port. I tried searching for one but for some reason I can't find it. Does anyone know where I can buy one or have any other suggestions to connect my iPod to my car. Thanks

GM9-AUX input adapter. Plugs into your factory wiring harness and allows you to connect an auxillary input to most GM radios.

SamG97Camaro, Since you have a 97, I don't think the GM9-AUX adapter will work. According to the Modification Encyclopedia, 1998-1999 indash cd-players won't work with the GM9-AUX adapter. The adapter only works with cassette decks or 2000 and up indash cd-players.

Didn't even think to check out your page about the 97 year, but now that I do... you have an aftermarket headunit. Scratch that GM idea... I'm not sure if pioneer offers anything to help ya out.

My blaupunkt headunit has an aux input that you can plug any device into and use it through the stereo, that's something also to consider if you're in the market for a new head unit.

its called an fm modulator its got like 3 wires an antenna in and out and rca inputs. so you would just need the ipod cable that plugs into the headphones and turns it into two rca ends

Like Teal said, you'll need to buy a RCA to headphone jack cable. They sell them at Walmart.
