I have this 1 channel amp but it has 2 positives and 2 negatives. Its going to be connected to an L7. How do I connect the 2 postives and 2 negatives to the sub?

your L7 will only have one positive and one negative IF it's a single voice coil sub. If that's the case, just hook it up to one positive and one negative on the amp...the other remaining positive and negative terminals on the amp won't be used.
If your sub is dual voice coil, wire each positive and negative for each coil to the terminals on the amp.2006 Tiburon

On to the answer, Most one channels still have 2 +'s and 2-'s you just bridge it. Take on + and the opposite - on the amp. Depending on what ohm sub you have depends on how you wire the speaker it self. Whats the rating on the amps for ohm in 1 channel?2005 Cavalier LS Sport M5
http://members.cardomain.com/firefighter8615

just because you have 2 +'s and 2 -'s on an amp doesn't mean its not a mono amp, thats not what I said. My JL 500/1 has 2+'s and 2-'s and its a mono amp.2005 Cavalier LS Sport M5
http://members.cardomain.com/firefighter8615

Okay so the amp has 2 positives and 2 negatives and the sub also has 2 positives and 2 negatives.
So I am going to connect it as if I had 2 single voice coil subs right?
I am going to connect 1 positive to one positive on the sub, and the another positive to the other positive on the sub, and 1 negative to one negative and another to another right? 95 Camaro 3.4 convertible
95 Nissan Sentra GXE Twin Cam

So basically, with my MTX mono amp, does it matter what positive and negative outlet on my amp i use? I have my DVC sub wired parallel to drop the impedance to 2 OHM. But the mono amp does not need to be bridged does it? Because both the ports are the same going out on a MONO amp correct?
I wondered about this last summer, but didnt have too much time to fuss with it since being at school.
This is confusing as hell trying to figure out what peoples words mean in the diagram.

As long as the amp terminals are paralleled on the inside (as most are. check manual), it's the same thing either way.
