Do it yourself. We can talk you through it step by step if you would like. That's what we're here for. I don't mind in the least bit. If I was you, I would rip out the entire Monsoon system and start from scratch. Sounds like you've got plenty of money to do it with. You could easily do it with $2k. Easily. We can make you recommendations for gear if you like and then guide you through it. Please don't let that guy steal your money.

the guy is both right and wrong. i'm not sure about monsoon, but a bose system uses special copper wiring that wont allow a normal wiring harness to work, the thing has to be altered/rewired(to what extent you do this will affect quality and price). you dont have to change out the speakers though, just have to have wiring done. the price he gave you was outrageous. you could easily do it yourself for MUUUUUUUUCH cheaperBlack 97 Camaro T-Tops
3800 series II w/ 5 speed manual
definately a chick magnet, and i havent even started moding yet ;)
www.cardomain.com/id/chkptcharlie
ok so i\'m a nerd... at least i have a nice car

Holy crap! $3600!!! I can have the loudest Fbody ever with that much money. Damn,I can't even imagine the system I could get for that much money. I have gone through about 5 amps, and six subs 2 head units and only spend maybe about $2500!! And $600 for a box I can get a box and very very nice install for maybe about $400. Then again that's the benifit of having a friend that co-owns his own stereo shop. But even still, I have only boughten a pair of mids and highs and some wires from him, and the last time I upgraded my system was about a year ago and that was all used stuff. A guy I met at the shop payed $700 for a new box, but his install was very sweet, a very awesome night setup.2003 Zinc Yellow Mustang GT 1 of 701
ET : TBD
But our shenanigans are cheeky and fun!
