I am starting to install an alarm, and the first step is to connect the start kill relay. The diagram says to connect some wires to the key ignition wires. How do I get to these wires? Do I have to go into the steering column, or is there another place to access them? If I have to go into the column, how do I take the airbag off. I know how to disable the airbag, but don't know how it comes off of the steering wheel.

what the directions are probably talking about is when you find the starter wire which is probably in a bundle of wires under the dash below the steering column. So usually when you hook up the starter kill relay you will cut the the starter wire, and one wire from the relay goes to the wire that goes into the steering column up to the key and the other side goes to the other side of the wire, sometimes the relay will have another wire that will be for like a ground. You dont take the steering wheel off for the installation.1990 Firebird 3.1 T-Tops
Flowmaster exhaust
Kenwood MP 825 Deck
4\" Rockfords w/ tweet in dash plate
3 Way 6x9 Rockords in rear sails
1970 Camaro 350

take off the under plastic piece in front of the pedals, should just come off with a couple plastic pins. then take off the plastic dash piece, should be (2) phillip screws and (2) 7mm screws...
the wiring is right in front of you,
Constant 12v - red
ignition - Pink
acc. - Orange, brown
starter - yellow or purple (cant seem to remember)
all these wires are of 12 guage they are easily found amongst the other sizes... if it's that critical i'll go out and take a look...CaLi
-=|Sinister Six|=-
1999 Chevy Camaro Pewter
Have you ever wanted to know what happens
to a 3.8l v6 when you are doing 90mph in
2nd gear at 6000 rpm? pics to come soon...
