Hi guys,
I've got a 2001 camaro with the monsoon, and I've added a Fosgate 2 channel and a JL sub to the current setup. Now that I have a little more cash coming in I want to improve the sound a bit more. So here's my situation:
I got a bada$$ pair of Boston Acoustics 6*9's that I wanna put in the car (they are just sitting here from my dad's vette), now for these, would it be possible to use one of the channels on my current fosgate amp to power them? I know that right now my sub is way to strong for my tastes, even turned all the way down, so I would love to do this if it is possible.
Besides that I'm lookin at Alpine Headunits in the 300-350 range, and sugestions? Would I be able to power those Boston's with the internal amp? If so, can I also power my door spearkers (possibly Alpines or MB quarts) with that internal amp?
If I need a second amp to do this what do you guys recomend (specs wise, I'll buy an alpine of similar standards)?
Anyway, to clear it up a little, what I'd like to do is run new door speakers, a pair of 6*9's and my 10" sub off of the head unit and my current 2 channel fosgate. If you guys tell me I need it, I will go out and get me a small v-12 to get the speakers running, and leabe the fosgate to the sub, but I wanna see if it will work.
