I've got a high output alternator on the way, and I'm planning to install 4-gauge alt-to-battery and ground wires. Adding another ground wire to the existing one is simple enough. But for the positive side, there are two more wires going into the insulator with the alt-to-battery wire. How would I go about rearranging these three wires? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

i just did the same thing. you can't easily take apart the battery insulator thing, all the wires are crimped together in it. you have to get a GM side post battery terminal thing they sell at best buy. there is a screw on the top of it that comes out so u can put the 4g wire in. as for the old alternator power wire, i just taped it up and tied it down since i couldn't get it out and there is still power running through itmcG
aim=endlive
97 firebird ~ wrecked
