thabomb, I wouldn't power them with the monsoon amp. The whole monsoon system is basically cr@p. Do you have an aftermarket CD player? Have some extra cash for an amp? Even $100?

quote:
Originally posted by jamie: firebird, do you konw why ampman stopped carrying adire audio equipment?!

I can't say I KNOW why, but all signs point to one thing. Adire was having problems keeping up with orders. Customers kept asking ampman when they were going to get their Brahma and ampman had no answers for them. Add that to the little lead slap problem they had and it makes Adire look like s#it. Ampman didn't want to do business with a company having that much trouble.
And it's not that Adire is a bad company. Ampman just sells really highend equipment and believes in customer service. Adire was having trouble keeping up due to the strike and such.......
Like I said, I don't KNOW anything but come on..... then Adire moved their forum over to one of their other authorized dealers websites..... at the exact same time. What a coincidence.
I'm sorry Adire, but you kinda let me down by not just plain admitting that ampman dropped you...... :(
ok, finish installing the 2 channel amp to power both of my front door speakers!!
It sounds sooo increadable. I also got an unexpected bonus. Since I was no longer running any from speaker signal to the monsoon amp, nor was the monsoon amp powering the front speaker, more power seemed to be diverted to the speakers that were still hooked up to it (two 4" in the very back, and the two 6.5" subs in the sail panels). I know this because the 40hz and 100hz bars on the equalizer I'm able to run all the way up with no clipping or distortion on the subs. I never could do that before at anything loud for a volume lever. Now with the who system cranked, I get sooo much base from those little factory subs. It sound awesome compaired to before, I'm so glad I did it
