would it be possible to change the 120mph guages out for the 150mpg v8 guages? if so, what kind of effect would this have on anything? would it read accurately?

Just swap it, I think the tach is off though that you need a simple resistor to fix or something....if you want something really unique get some autometer gauges, and a flat piece of carbon fiber, fiberglass, aluminum, anything, cut it to a size that would fit where your old gauge pod went, and cut out holes to make all the new ones fit.....the wiring would be the fun part, however, it is doable....especially if you have the help of a Autotap, like I do...to help you with the gauge tuning......
