What kind of speakers will make Bass Mekanik sound awesome in a f-body? Components or 2-ways?

I cant answer your question cause I dont even have a system yet in my car. I will tell you that I love Bass Mekanik. I have about 3 cds (as well as other bass ones).

I am planning on 2 10s in a milhouse box this spring but I have to post some stuff to gain info first.

Umm.... neither. 95% of the CDs are 50Hz and below.

hes right, VERY few components will pick up a 50hz note, and even then, you wont get sound out of it, just see it move.

subs are meant for those cd's

I've got 2 Kicker Comp VR 12" subs in my room waiting for my new car, I meant for the mids and highs. Should have been more specific.

Not a lot of vocals in any of the Bass Mekanik CDs I own.....actually not too much above 50Hz!lol Just kiddin. ;) What I mean is Bass Mekanik isin't a good medium to be judging mids or highs. What type of music do you usually listen to? How much you looking to spend?

I listen to a mixture of rock and rap. I had a set of Jensen 2-ways in my old 93 but I want something better. I was looking at a pair of Kicker 02K65 2-ways.

Go listen to some nickelback if you can handle the highs and mids your good. That damn band killed the voice coils in my esclipse speakers.

or get a digital copy of the 1812 Overture, go about 12 min into the song, and wait for the cannons.

then you will know if you have good subs....

if you want to test your highs.

Coheed and Cambria - In Keeping Of Secrets in Silent Earth 3. honestly. i can only put the volume up to about 19(normally at 23). its not very loud at all. but the highs on the guys voice are outrageous. and kill my speakers at any other volume. that would be a good test for the speakers.

The theme to the pink panther is great for testing your component speakers.

Just any pink panther theme? Why do they use this to test component speakers.

Nickelback ruined your speakers? Honestly that is a very run of the mill recording and doesn't really get all that complex a true test for clarity would be a nice symphonic piece or possibly a really clean live recording that you know well i.e. an acoustic set of Alice in Chains or the ever popular Clapton Live which is used A LOT by home theater magazines to judge sound reproduction simply due the fact it is very clean and has a lot of small ambient noises that aren't picked up by lesser components.
