I just need some general advice on what would be the best way to increase performance of my 1999 3.8 firebird by redoing the computer. Are chips and getting the computer reprogrammed safe? What is the modification that produces the greatest increase in performance? Thank's everyone.

Jetchip is the fastest and best option if you have no mods. Custom programming is expensive and that leaves the car sitting there for a while until the computer comes back. All of the 3.8's except the 2000-2002 are not able to use the hypertech.98 Bright Red Camaro
Too many mods to list....check my website

Thank's I'll definitely look into one of those: someone told me that the 3800 was all but impossible to get chips for so I was giving up hope. Thank's again.PhiDeltaTheta: VA Gamma Chapter@RMC Rocks!
