Can I paint milhouse box?

I want to purchase a milhouse box in the springtime (2 10s) and get one with a Firebird Logo on it. I would love to paint the firebird logo another color but i do believe its vinyl... how can I go about painting just the raised bird part?

Yes, it is vimyl, as a matter of fact I was gonna do the same thing to my milhouse and paint the chevy logo red, but once I got5 the milhouse I decided against it. I didn't want to mess up the vinyl. Talk to steve at Subthump he can steer you in the right direction.

I wouldn't recommend painting on the vinyl logos. I had a guy do that. He painted the chicken red and fugged it up [img]graemlins/slap.gif[/img] . He said it looked bad. I can only imagine. If you want colored logos, just buy the plain vinyl'd flap and add your own graphics on top of that. [img]graemlins/thumbsup.gif[/img]

I figured the paint would peel off the vinyl, PLUS it would be a pain in the butt to sorta stay in the lines or tape it off without marking the whole flap up.

Thanks for the advice though. Its not that important that it be a different color but it would sure add a little extra something to the car.

its accually not that hard to paint on vinyl... there is a speacial spray paint made for it... you can pick it up at any upholstry store. Depending on how well you tape it is gonna be how good it looks...
