just ordered my monster amp!

I just got an audiobahn HCT A2300T 2400 wattsx 1 at 1 ohm! I can wait, this will be replacing my A3201T 2 channel audiobahn amp. I have 2 12'' Audiobahn 1205Q's in a subthump box with plenty of sound dampener. what do you guys think i will be able to hit? the box is sealed and 1 cu ft per sub. i will get pics soon amp should be here monday!

Very VERY nice!! I've been a huge fan of Audiobahn since I bought my first pair of Audiobahn subs. Let us know how that amp sounds man, I might have to look at getting one like it! lol

Sounds like it should be awesome. For an example, with my 1300hct audiobahn amp 1200 watts x1 a 1ohm with my 2 12" aw1200Q subs, in a prefab probox i hit 146.9 at the kick panel just last week. Thats up 7/10ths from the last time I was metered. And this is with an old as dirt alpine tape deck (cd changer with it of course) that dosent even have a sub out. So yours should absolutley POUND!! well its as loud as my a3201T amp was on 30 as this one is one 3 but, i cant turn it up anymore because the alt wont take it, i need a high output one. any advice?

Dominick@tds.net if you have the money.($250-$300) Or a couple of cheaper ones can be had off Ebay for like $150. They do something like 85amps at idle and 180 max.

Every time you double power you produce 3db's. Seeing as how ou went from 840 watts to 2400 watts you should see a 4-6 db increase. Be careful with your gains though and listen for clipping, you dont wanna kill the subs cause you were trying to push them too hard.

i meant power as in from the alt, i know all about spl and such i was talking power supply but, thnaks anyway. but i only jumped 1200 watts because i had the 3201t amp wire to 1 ohm per channel.

Yes you will see better bass from getting a HO alternator. An HO alternator creates more current and more current equals more power to your amp.

Me personally, Id go with a better battery first, or even a second battery, like an optima or something like that. A good 2nd battery should provide plenty enough current flow for your needs i would think.

A second battery would only be another thing for the alt to charge. A HO alt and upgrading all his base factory wiring would help alot more than a second battery.
