ok, so i have no idea about anything stereo related at all. ive never touched the bose system i have in my car. my brother has this alpine cda-7840 he took out of his explorer. its 40wx4. is this better than the stock system? will my system sound any better at all with this new head unit. how many watts is the stock bose head unit? i also thought i heard that the bose system has problems with after market head units... is this true? someone help me out please, im clueless.
