Ok I have a question for all you car audio gurus. I want to get the Alpine MRV-F540 (80w x 4 RMS) for my car. The thing is my speakers my Kenwoods handle 65w RMS and my Kicker components handle 70w RMS. Can I still use this amp and just not turn the gains up all the way and have it not hurt my speakers at all? I still want my system to kick @$$ but sound nice
If I buy it I am going to buy it from Ikesound.com, are the a reputable source to buy from? Any help would be great. Thanks guys
- Matt
Mods: Magnaflow Exhaust (more to come hopefully) <br />Stereo: Alpine CDA-7897 HU, (2) JL 500.1 Amps, (2) 12\" Eclipse Subs, Kenwood eXcelons up front, Kicker RMB6 Midbass, Kicker Resolution RS4c Components in back and an Alpine MRV-F340
if your goona buy it get it off ebay cheap
and pay with paypal that way if they screw you over u can get your money back and running 80 rms from the amp to 60 rms and 70 rms speakers i dont think you would want to do that i mean you could a get a 60 rms 4 channel and it would sound good
Many have used ikesound in the past. Everyone seems to be real happy with them. And that price isin't too bad. And no, you shouldn't have any problems with that amp powering those speakers. Yes, you can regulate power output using the gain knob.
