Alright, I recently bought a Manual Fan Switch kit on Ebay. I installed it just a couple of weeks ago and think it is great. BUT I paid way too much for it. I could have easily made it myself. I made up a guide for anyone else that wants to possibly do this mod for themselves. I will post it here and would like to know what area's are confusing as hell, so I can edit it and makes things easier to follow. Thanks

Manual Fan Switch Guide
Parts:
DPDT center off switch (Or other similar switch) --- Radio Shack Catalog #: 275-1533
10A 125V AC
Wiring: Preferably 4 colors to keep things easier. (Green, Blue, Black, Red)
Five Resistors - 2@ 470K Ohms 1/2 watt (Cat # 271-1133) / 3@ 47K Ohms 1 watt
Four Tap-in Splice connectors
Wire ties (for neatness)
Tools:
Pliers, Drill, Ratchet, 7mm + 10mm socket, Solder Iron, Solder, coat hanger :)

Switch Setup:(See Diagram 1)
1: Ground wire
2: Blue Wire + LED Wire
3: Empty
4: Ground
5: Green + LED Wire
6: Ground
1,4,6 will be spliced into 1 wire. You can either solder them, tie them together and tape them, or
however you want to connect them. These will eventually connect to the ground on the cig lighter.
2 will have the blue wire which will later run to the connector under the hood, and the LED wire.
3 is empty
5 will be the same as #2 except using a green wire.

Wire setup: (See diagram 2)
Connect the 3 Grounds to the terminals indicated. Each wire should be around 6" long. Then bring the
ends of the three wires together and solder them together with a new single wire. The single wire should
be about a foot long to give you room to connect it to the ground on the cig lighter.
Terminal 2 should have the blue wire and a black wire connected to it. The Blue wire will have to have
two resistors added in parallel. You will need to splice in 2 47K resistors. After the resistors give
plenty of wire to make it to the front connection under the hood. The black wire will connect to one side
of your LED. From the other side of the LED you will need to run a red wire.
Terminal 5 Will have a green wire and a black wire. The green wire will have a single resistor that
needs to be spliced in. The value is also 47K. Again the black wire will run to one side of another LED
and a red wire running from the opposite side.
The two red wires that run off of your LED's will have to have 2 resistors in parallel spliced in.
The Values are 470K. These will then be soldered together connecting into one wire to later connect to the
power off of the radio.
Location of wires:
Power wire (for LED's): Best place to get power for the LED's is directly of your head unit. Pull
off the plastic surrounding the stereo. Take out the head unit using the 7mm to remove the screws
holding in the stereo. Looking at the harness you should see a red wire. Splice into this wire
using the red wire from the switch. This will only allow the LED's to have power when the car is
in the "ON" position preventing battery drain from the LED's.
Ground wire: Best placement for this wire is by using the ground wire from the cigarette lighter.
Fan Wires: The last two wires that have to be tapped into are located in the engine bay. The connector
is located on the passenger side of the car just above the wheel well. You will see a group of three
connectors. The one towards the front of the car is the one we want. It should have black and
orange ends. Locate the "H" and "J" connections. H should be blue and J should be green.
Installation:
1. First things first... Locate a good place to mount your switch and LED's. The best location and
easiest that I found was directly below the cigarette lighter.
2. Drill the appropriate sized holes for the switch and LED's. Take the top nut off the switch, feed
the switch through the plastic, and replace the nut. Now feed the two LED holders through the front
of the plastic, place the black rings around the wires, feed the LED's through the holders, then slide
the rings up and over the back of the holders.
3. Now place the tap-in splice onto the ground from the cigarette lighter using the black wire from
the switch.
4. Use another tap-in splice to tap into the red wire from your head unit.
5. Now comes the fun part. Behind the PCM is a great place to feed the two wires into the engine bay.
You have to remove the kick board on the passenger side in order to reach the grommet. I used a
coat hanger at this point to tie the wires to and feed them through one at a time.
6. Now tap into the appropriate wires from the connector stated above. Green with Green, blue with
blue of course.
