  • Radar Detectors:

I did the search on this site, and didn't really find what I wanted.

What's the best radar detector out right now? How much does it really work?

    Ive had 3 differnt radars
    Cobra 9110
    Bell 980
    Valentine One

Hands down The valentine one is THE BEST RADAR DETECTOR EVER!!!!

Tells you where the cop is. how many .strength.. all the good stuff... Its the most sensitive one out there. I went on a trip with a person ( in a dif car in front of me) just this weekend. 200 miles
    he has the passport???
my radar went off at least a qhole 7 seconds before he did going 110mph.... so think of this find out the distance u can go while going 110 in 7 seconds. And the fact he was in front of me which would have blocked some of the radar signal AND the fact he was in a truck and i was in a camaro which his was higher which would have been better....

Hands down Yeah it cost $400 bux but it has saved me sooooo many times I could have paid for this thing several times over and over...

btw to all the people going to "bash " me for going 110... Its on the roads in the middle of nowhere where u see a car like every 5 mins..... so dont try to bash me.

      110mph is 165ft/sec
      1155ft in 7 seconds.

I've heard the Valentine one kicks *** , I don't know which one I have (my bro gave it to me), but it works ok. I've driven by cops around town tho and it NEVER goes off... either they don't have their guns on or mine doesn't detect them.

Don't worry, I've used many different kinds of detectors since the day I started driving, and regardless of what some people may think, only about 15%-20% of the cops I see have their radars up and running.

I got the Bel 9** cant remember, works great, looking into getting a remote one though...worth the extra money to not have something chillin up on your windsheild, and having sensors in the bumpers (Front & Back)

sensors in bumpers , only reason for that is if radars are illegal in your state... Reason being... The higher the radar sits, The better signal it can get from the radar gun. Yeah a windhsield because its slanted takes away a small fraction of the signal and diverts it... but the higher the better. Also the pieces go through wear and tear from normal use/ weather. Which means to get optimum performance. you will have to get a new one ever so often. Do what i did.... get the valentine one. If a new model comes out... Sell it on ebay and you will get nearly what u paid for it. The buy the brand new one... Iv seen used Valentine ones on eBay go for MORE than a brand new one

Valentine One always offers upgrades to your original..You can send it to them, and they will upgrade if for you and send it back to you..I think It's only about $40..You should never need to sell your Valentine One.
