I recently priced a custom fiberglass box. They said no less then 600. I'm not really in it for SPL. I just want it to look cool  . I do have 2 Kicker Comp VR 12's and a 1200 watt Californian amp that'll be put in as soon as come back from the beach. So should I sacrafice the bank account and trunk for the looks or not? Just looking for some opinions.

600 seems about right for a mid-level 'glass box. But it depends what you wanted it to look like. Fiberglass takes a lot of time and most of that estimate is labor. I've got several styles of boxes posted over at my site that could save you a lot of money if you were interested.
Fiberglass is the way to go if your going for the look. Nothing can really beat a good fiberglass job in looks. Well most of the time.
I've seen a Camaro with a fiberlass box with 4 12's no back seat (was the box) a TV and a Viper hatch on the back. It was a very nice setup. But I bet it cost him a lot of money.

Fiber glass does look very good and there is so many more ways to shape it than wood. But I would rather have it sounding perfect than looking perfect.
Yeah i have made 3 glass boxes at this point.. mostly steath style boxes.. anyway they sound great! you jsut gota build up the glass real thick and take your time.. it makes it heavy as hell..
i like glass boxes.. they are almsot as cheep as wood (DIY).. they look nicer in most cases.. and they alow you get more cubes out of a small area..
If you are interested in glassing a box a stealth box is a good place to start..
as far as this $600 stuff it really depends on what you are getting.. where is the box going to be? how big is it? any special paint or finish? ect ect.. custom work costs custom money.. and thats the bottem line..
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
