Ok I know this thread ? is not going to be very indepth, I know absolutely nothing about car stereos (Yes I will admitt it!) and to make it worse I don't know what I want yet ;) I know i I either want 1 12 or 2 10's in the back, I don't want some earth rattling sound, I just want some more bass. For some reason I am in love with Audiobahn :D I really would like to get a decent Audiobahn 12. I don't know what kind I want and when it comes to amps I'm out in left field. I was hoping you guys could help me out a lil, I don't need this info asap, I'll prob get one in the winter time, but I like doing the research early. OO and another thing, I am going to need new speakers and I know nothing about them too, sorry guys I'm so stereo illiterate. I don't know if I want to drive my speakers with an amp, thats always an option. oo I have a Pioneer P5500MP HU If thats any help. But like I said b4 I just want some more bass nothing insane! Audiobahn is a mid-range driver. I'm not sure why you're in love with them, but make sure you explore your options. There's better performers out there in the same price range.

wow thanks alot guys..Usher I dunno why either haha I think its cuz of it's fat cone, but neways any ideas on brands will be greatly appreciated. My budget hmm well it all depends on how much I have saved up, I'm doing it in winter cuz football is startin now for me n i have car insurance, my cell phone bill for 4 months(since i cant work during football), and I have to finish off paying my rims. So I'm not going top of the line, maybe just the middle lol, I dunno depends on the deal. Am I doing it myself? I don't know, i have some friends who are really good, are things like these hard to install? cuz if they're not I will give them I try, I can go out for days in my garage n screw around lol. We DO need some sort of budget to work with though. Then we can determine if you have enough money for an amp for your other speakers, etc.

ahh ok ummmm...definitly no more than 750, I don't really know prices for ****..Id like to get my speakers first and then my system so then the rents won't get mad, cuz for some reason they hate the idea of me getting one n hate when I buy somehting for my car..

</font>[/QUOTE]I've run multiple single and dual configurations in my f-body over the years -- on multiple amplifiers. There's a world of difference between running one and two subs. I'd encourage him to get a pair of subs too if it's affordable.
