I have 2 10" Kenwood subs in a box in my hatch. They're sitting in the trunk, but on the upper part, not in the well (my T-Tops go in there). My question is: is it better to have the subs facing the interior or the hatch? They're angled enough that I think it might matter, and right now they're facing the interior.

I couldn't really judge too much of a difference when I tried spinning them around, but perhaps some audiophile could tell me the "correct" way to do it for best sound.

A rule of thumb with normal sedans is to have the box as far to the rear as possible and subs facing the rear. Obviously, our hatchbacks are a little different. However, I have heard many people saying that their same subs are louder when firing INTO the well. Funny. Kinda similar to the sedan rule....

Ive had best results with the subs firing backward sitting behind the seat firing TOWARD the rear glass.
