Now my eXcelon KDC-X559 doesnt work. Nothing lights up and the buttons dont work, but it still has power and all the connections are secure. I even checked the gold contacts, doesnt seem to be them either. Im stumped, sometimes music will play, then cut off in like 3 minutes, but mainly nothing works.
make sure there is a good ground. make sure the fuse in the hu is not blown. i havent installed a hu yet, so i dont really know about them

detach the faceplate. clean off the connections. and then reinsert the faceplate. should work now. some kenwoods you might have to send back and have them replace. its a common problem amongst kenwoods. for me, cleaning the connections off worked fine.
Lucky for you...my Excelon X659...I plug it in and my amps and power antenna go up...and thats it...even when the car is off. I gotta take it in to get checked out.
