  • Cant get rid of Alt noise....

Right now my set up consists of 4 interior speakers and 2 10'' subs Amp is a 4ch 75x4 planet audio.

I have the subs wired at 4 ohms to ch1 & ch2 of the amp. And the 4 speakers are wired to ch 3 & ch4 of the amp.

Since my stereo has an output for an amp i decided to run my RCA wire from input 1&2 of the amp to the sub output of my HU (pioneer dehp9300)

The problem is i cant have more than 1 pair of rca's connected w/o that whineeeeeee sound being heard from the interior speakers.(it gets louder as i accelerate.

If i have just 1 set of RCA's and i use Y splitters there is no noice. But if i hook up 2 seperate RCA's there is noise. This only happens when the car is on, there is no noise when the car is off.

I know the other RCA is not picking up noise from a power wire because right now its ran right through the middle of the car on top of the carpet and on top of the seats.
My car has GPS trackin\',traffic alert, its own phone #,PS2,screens. And What da H3ll,When I Turn da key it says \"You\'ve got mail\"..... <br />I swear and promise.. I\'ve had more cars then Charlie Thomas.. bounces in a Monte\' that hopped.. Pimped old skoo Blazer on Chopz, Today Its a Camaro at all da plya spots.

Get some better insulated rca wire or buy one of those in-line filters. It gets rid of the noise. I have this problem also.

Cool. But I think a lot of us are having similar problems. Care to share your solution?

Well a while back i ran my power wire and my RCA's on the same day, me being lazy i ran them togheter. This worked perfectly for the time i had it it like this like 8 months.

Well since i baught another pair of RCA's and i wanted to use my fade i wanted to add another pair, the minute i did i would get noise.

what was wrong was that the original RCA's that i ran along with the power wire were introducing noise into the system. So i just rerouted those RCA's and bingo! no more noise.

Yeah, that's a common mistake people make. NEVER run RCA's on the same side of the car as the power wire. Glad you fixed the prob!!!

You know what...I just realized that my RCA and Power wire were on the same side. Now I have to remove all the molding and move the wires!!!

Just an FYI if you need to cross a power wire, cross at a 90* angle. It helps reduce any noise you might get.
