\"Well, we don\'t care how bad-*** some dude\'s N/A Honda S2000 motor is; if you go up against 900+ pushrod ponies and 750 pounds of earth-shaking torque with a wrong-wheel-drive econobox, you\'re gonna get a fast and furious old-school ***-whipping.\"

very nice. steve is the man.

You need to be careful though. 0.7 ft^3 of airspace for a 12" driver is small. Not a lot of drivers are designed to perform in such a small volume.

Yeah, I was going to wait till I bought a 12 for that box before posting. I have one of those new elemental designs 12s on pre-order.

But that way I could post more pics since all my current subs are square lol. But I'm guessing I'm the first one ever to fit a 12 in that spot in mdf box. Although the space is tight, there are a few drivers that will handle it. And I'll probably list those as ones I highly recommend.

BTW, I have two of them built and ready to sell if anyone is interested. Probably won't post them on the site until I can get a whole bunch stocked up. They're pretty hard to build believe it or not lol and take longer than I had expected. I also snapped a few pics of the prototype if anyone wants to take a look.

I'm running a pair of ED twelves right now. They're last year's model. Do the new ED's still have flat cones or have they reverted back to the traditional design?

They're more traditional. I like the look of the flat cones though. The one's I'm getting are the 13ov2 Which is the new "O" series. They are have a pre-build sale and I got them for 165 each. MSRP is 275 so I figured that was a decent deal. They can handle 900watts rms and work in sealed enclosures down to .6 cu.ft. That's pretty good in my book. :D

I gotta be honest here, I'm quite surprised at how good Steve's box sounded after my TERRIBLE initial impressions. I ordered the Driver side 10" stealth box from Subthump back in January. The site listed it as being MDF construction. Well if by MDF construction, he meant the baffle was 3/4" particle board, then okay. Then, the rear of the box was made out of what appears to be the hard cardboard cylinders you can buy at Home Depot..and it's only 1/4" thick. Needless to say, I wasn't pleased. The inside was painted, apparently to disguise the poor materials of the box. However, tried and true, he had the box sealed extremely well, it doesn't have any flex at all, and sounds pretty damn good. Fit and Finish - 8/10. Materials used - 3/10. Sound - 7.5/10. Overall - 7.5/10. I don't think this box can handle much more than the 250 watts I'm running to a ID10v3 without flexing a lot. Sorry for the review, I just started babbling.

$165 sounds like a square deal for their mid-line model. Although I'm not sure what MSRP means since I don't know of any way to buy an ED besides direct from ED themselves. Hmm....

I think that is what they'll sell for once construction is under way.

I have seen 3 of the sub thump boxes.. one that sits where the flip panel is that fit 2-12's and 2 steaths..

the flip one was "reasonable".. the stelths were trash imho.. imho save your money.. buy some fiberglass.. and learn yourself.. that what i did to fit my 10" solo into a steath box.. that thing was friggin solid..
