I was just curious if any of you think it would be worth it for me to put some 6x9s in the doors? Right now I can't even hear the 6 1/2s that are up there, so I wanted something a little louder The 6x9s are being powered off the deck right now (its 50x4, not much), do you think if I powered them with an amp they would be louder, or should I get some 6x9s and a small amp?
I want the surround sound effect in my car, not just sound coming from the back
Thanks.
Ive taught about putting in 6*9s where the factory front door speakers are but it would requite a lot of modificationa and the stock grill would block most of the sound.
If i were you i would put the 6*9s in the rear, then a pair of components in the front.
Your NOT getting 50 watts per speaker, your lucky if your getting 20 watts a speaker. The 50 watts rating is max power which only happens with low bass notes.
Get a nice 2 or 4 channel amp if you want it louder.
yeah most headunits only put out between 17-23 watts rms per channel. Get some nice componets and a real 50x4 watts rms amp here the difference. you wont believe your ears. If you really want to hurt you ears step inside camarowidbass's car or mine:)
