my left turn signal was doing that after my accident. luckily, it was SOO easy to fix for me considering my whole left headlight is gone and the hood and fender are peeled back lol. you can stand on the frame the hole is so big. just had to replace the bulb.1996 Pontiac Firebird
Black, 3.8L A4

do ALL of the turn signals light up? the rear signal, front signal, and the interior light?
i thought you meant the interior light came on but the exteriors didn't... if the interior comes on and one or both of the exteriors don't, then you need new bulbs. if all three come on, i think you need something else.1996 Pontiac Firebird
Black, 3.8L A4

You have to replace the little blinker thing under the dash :(
Like everyone said.. they're a pain in the ***!
Worst part is finding the damn thing haha.
Oh, and don't replace the hazard one by mistake I think you can turn your blinker on and actually hear the thing ticking, or likewise with your hazards. Make sure to replace the right one Sinister Six©
My \'95 Bird
I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship.

I just hit the same problem... BUT, aren't our turn signal bulbs dual filament so that he probably does need to replace a bulb outside the car? My situation, all my running lights are on but the signal doesn't flash because one of the filaments is burnt out in the front signal. Might check that before attempting to replace that flasher. Should be a 3157 bulb.

Don't nuke it guys. The signal not flashing is a sign that a bulb has burnt out. 4 out of 5 times, thats all it is. Make sure to check every bulb on the side that's not flashing, back and front. Don't just assume. It may be slightly hard to tell for the tail lights. Open the hatch. Directly behind the tail lights are a set of plastic wingnuts. Unscrew them and the tail light will be free. To remove the bulbs, twist and pull.
