going to build me an amp rack

well ONCE AGAIN i am going to do something i have already dont in the camaro!! it kinda sucks doing everything over again so i dont want to do it the same i want to make it a lil better since i have a lil practice this is my plans:
i am going to get some mdf and i will liquid nail a piece under my carpet, then i will cut my top piece out with my amp holes in it! after that i will form me some wooden blocks from mdf to put under my amp rack so i can get a recessed look, my plan is too have a big enough recess where i can lay a deck mat over them when i need too! would this big of recess look bad!! or should i just buy an amp rack and put on the back wall!!

i am kinda clueless basically is my problem is if i go to high to make the recess flush then i will have problems on were my (flapper) thing goes!! that what i experienced in my last project!! lmk what all you think and suggestions would be awesome guys, i wont be doing this for another few weeks so i have time to sit on this!

so you want to recess it enough that you can stick something on top?

why are you going to use mdf? its expensive and not neccesary. you some cheap particle board.

something similiar to all that becuase i have to make all my rings for me elemental design eu700's and i used plywood last time and it broke on me i still used it but it broke!

i dont suggest putting it under the carpet on the ledge. just cut your board and then carpet it.

particle board and plywood are very different. i used particle board for my eu700's.
