I've got a new digital camera so I decided to take a pic to show everyone how I installed my Infinity Kappa speakers in the rear hatch panels. When I changed the interior panels to graphite, the rear hatch panels came with speakers and speaker covers which i didnt have before and didnt have the wiring for either so I took the speakers out and left the factory speaker covers on. When I got my Infinity Kappa speakers I tried to install them in the doors and sail panels but they wouldn't fit in the doors very well so I decided to shift the speaker locations back. The rear speakers went into the factory speaker areas in the hatch area and the fronts went into the sail panels. I aimed the speakers in the hatch at the glass to help it resonate better. Let me tell you that it's awesome! No more of the crappy sound from the speakers being next to my feet, it's so much better!
My setup is:
Pioneer DEH-P2600 CD Receiver
Infinity Kappa 62.5i Speakers (75W RMS @ 4ohms)
Profile CA640 Amplifier (75W x 4 @ 4ohms)
Stinger Bullet Series RCA Interconnects
Stinger HPM 4 Gauge Amplifier Wiring Kit
To me, it sounds very nice, not a bass setup at all (no subs), but it's like a theater sitting right behind me and it's extremely crisp and clear.
Here's a pic of how I installed the rear speakers (the sail panel speakers fit fine in the factory spot):
