• got a jeep now the real system !!

Ok I bought a jeep so i wouldn’t have to drive the maro in the winter i had one 12 inch audiobahn 1200n in a 3.3 cuft box back in the well of the camaro it pounded like hell but I recently blew it...still works well but just doesn’t hit as hard...im planning on doing a badazz system in the jeep and I would like some input from you guys about what to get from head unit sub's interiors amps everything...money is no option at this point!!!! So give me the best of the best set up keep in mind i play the systems loud hard and for a good amount of time...so the sub's better be able to take a beating again money is no option :D id like to keep it to 12's but might go 15's do not know at this moment.....4 + sub's none of this one or two anymore goin all out so give me ur best shot i should be doing this after my turbo kit is installed on the camaro

if you have no budget then get (4) RE MT's and get (4) audiobahn microwave amps, i call them that because their shaped like a microwave.

The amps do 5,000 RMS @ 1 ohm, the subs have no power rating, and i know people who burp then with a lot more than 5k rms.

                  Wow. Time for some fun!

But a few questions need to be asked first.... first.. what are you trying to do here? Will this be a daily driver that you just want to pimp out and make loud as hell? Adding some bling too? (ie LCDs, DVD player, PS2, etc) Building the sub box yourself? Fiberglass anywhere? You said money is no object. Don't wuss out now. lol :D Money always has a limit. Set a ceiling for us. With what you have already said, I could break the $10k mark without anything crazy expensive. (ie $5k Rainbow comps ;) )

Are you looking to enter an SPL comp? SQ comp? If you're planning to compete at all, we have a lot of work to do...and many more questions to come.

First off, forget Audiobahn. No, their stuff isn't complete junk. But it's nowhere near "the best of the best set up". Not even in the same ballpark.

Next, is the name brand really that important to you? I mean, are you out to make sure people recognize what name you're running? Because great gear is one thing.... and main-stream is another. Kicker, Alpine, Rockford...all VERY well known names.... but far from "the best of the best set up". Here's RE's website. And don't overlook Digital Designs for subwoofers. There are many more names that produce high quality gear, but you can't find them at your local Best Buy. I suggest doing a lot more research before buying anything. Stick around this post.

Sounds like you may already have an idea on your headunit? Alpine? May I ask why? Nothing wrong with them IMO, just asking why. ;) A particular model in mind? Again, you looking for a DVD player w/ LCD? Or just a damn nice high quality CD player?

i think you will do fine with (2) 18's, the reason i say this is because a friend of mine owns an audio store and he started off with (2) 15's in the navi, then (4) 15's. Scrapped all of that and did (12) 12's he must of went through about 10 diffrent set ups in a 1 yr period.

He said (2) 18's knocked harder than any of the other stuff he had put it in.

18's dont pick up as high of frequencys as 12's or 15's tho do they? i've always heard that you should get 2 12's cause they pick up the biggest range of frequencys... maybe i'm completly off tho?
