• question for articacid

i was looking at your cardomain a minute ago and you have alot a lights and LEDs and such.. i was just wondering if you have a HO alternator or have done anything to beef up your electrical system to keep from running your battery down with all that stuff.. i was thinking about putting some blue tubes in my interior like you did

also...do you have all your lights wired up to seperate switches or on a control box of some kind? and where do you have your switches or wahtever? lol thanks

LEDs and neons are a minuscule load on the car's electrical system. 20 full size neons would have no affect on the stock alt. Just FYI

P.S. Thanks for the assist Loochy! +1

as the guys said they dont really consume much power. i dont have a h/o alt either, you definately do not need one for lights.

i have 4 toggle switches mounted by the little ashtray by the cigarette ligther. 1 for leds, 1 for neons, 1 for neon in hatch, and one spare.

well thats good news.. lol i guess its mostly my system pullin all my power... do u think i'd be able to put 4 tubes on the inside of the car and hook them all to one switch with no trouble?

yulp, i have 6 tubes on one of my switches.

stereos can pull alot of power, but not lights.

you just have them on a regular toggle switch? one of my friends bought some of the lil tubes from advance that plug into a cig lighter and cut the ends off and put them in one of those control boxes so now they will flash with the music and stuff... i thought about doin that

same concept. with a switch you just cut the ends off and hook them to a switch.
